Katherine Rhodes lives and works in Sheffield not far from the Peak District and Stanage Edge.

Katherine has painted and drawn for many years and is largely self-taught, beginning as a hobby then developing into a professional art practice alongside a career of more than 30 years as a dentist working in NHS General Dental Practice. In 2012, she was introduced to printmaking – a practice that now fascinates her and has become the greater part of her artwork. It is likely that there is crossover in tactile and visual skills required by a printmaker and those of a dentist. Now her art practice has grown and developed to the point that it has taken over, and in 2021 she will cease to practice dentistry and focus full time on art.
