The Earth Goddess

Linda, a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee (B.A. Hons, 1986), specializes in relief printmaking, particularly lino printing and wood engraving. Her work has been exhibited and sold across the UK and internationally, and she has contributed her craft to design, advertising, and publishing projects. Notably, in 2020, she illustrated a series of commemorative stamps for the Royal Mail celebrating the Romantic Poets, including William Wordsworth.
Now based in Highland Perthshire, Linda draws inspiration from nature, reflected in her recent linocut series such as "The Tree of Life," "Song of the Goddess," "Nine Maidens," and "Earth Goddess." These bold prints feature her favorite motifs—trees, flowers, animals, birds, and the female form—and explore themes of Goddess mythology, transformation, and the intersection of humanity and nature, influenced by stories from the Welsh Mabinogion and Scottish folklore.
