Justine Warner
Justine Warner's work is predominantly textile and fibre using vintage and recycled ties as the canvas to add rich texture, pattern and colour. Once happy with the composition Justine will soften the work by painting and mark making with her sewing machine where she uses stitch to blend colours to give a painterly effect to her landscapes. Her work is heavily influenced by the seascapes, landscapes and woodlands of Northern England.
Justine has exhibited at a number of shows including the Great North Art Show, and a major show with the National Trust at Nunnington Hall. She was Artist in Residence at the Yorkshire Arboretum in 2017 and in 2022 she was invited to be a participant in Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’ filmed at Compton Verney where she was selected into the final 3 of her heat.
