Ouseburn Open Studios: The Lineup
As this year's Ouseburn Open Studios approaches we're celebrating all things independent, handmade and original.
Since opening in November 2002 we have been champions of original art and handmade craft. We've had the honour of working with thousands of artists, agencies and organisations and have been proud to be part of the ever growing art scene in the North East. The ethos of the gallery has always been to provide a platform for local artists, to support emergent makers, to showcase established artists and to add to the cultural landscape of the region.
On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November over 200 artists, designers and makers will be showcasing and selling their wares at key venues as part of the annual Ouseburn Open Studios weekend. We're encouraging visitors to shop small and independent this Christmas; whether it be just a card or a one-off original piece.
To celebrate #IndieFriday (a great alternative to the Black Friday rush!) and Ouseburn Open Studios we are offering free delivery on all UK orders made online from Friday 24 - Monday 27 November.
What's on this weekend...
Join us in the gallery and browse the working spaces of our on-site studio holders, view their collections and find out more about their work. Pick up unique stocking fillers and one-off gifts ahead of Christmas.
To celebrate our new contemporary craft space, the gallery will be full of artists and makers at work.

The Biscuit Factory Studio Holders
We open the doors to our on-site artist studios. From jewellers, painters and photographers, to graphic designers and sculptors come and have a behind the scenes peek at artists at work and pick up some stocking fillers along the way!

Artisan Bakery
On-site local community business Artisan Bakery will be selling freshly baked loaves and introducing visitors to their range of bread making courses.
Polly will be showcasing an exclusive collection of her design led homewares.
Simon Cannaway
Simon will be on hand to discuss his making process and will showcase a range of his laser cut cards and handmade prints.
Local favourites Muddy Fingers Pottery will be joining us outside of the gallery for live raku firing. Choose your ceramic item, add your glaze and then have your creation fired in front of you to take home on the day.
Choose from decorative tiles at £6, or tealight holders, plant pots and bowls at £12.
In need of a tea break? Don't forget to head to our new Café terrace at The Factory Kitchen for Ouseburn views, hot toddies, street food and maybe a seasonal tune or two...
SUNDAY ONLY (10am - 5pm)
Headline artist will be painting live in the gallery. Working from real specimens Hazel will showcase the art of miniature painting and discuss her new exhibition.
