Before taking up oil painting, Ron spent 30 years working as an artist, animator and art director in film and video games. His credits include three Marvel films, over 30 video games and numerous TV programmes.  He founded his own art and visual design studio, Atomhawk, which he ran as creative director for 10 years. He has also written three books on art direction.

Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Ron now brings together the influences from his time in films and games, with real life and imagined landscapes, to create works which explore the powerful impact of light, atmosphere and colour.
