Maria was born in 1967 in Hartlepool and grew up on the North East Coast of England. Maria primarily paints 'en plein air 'in the landscape and from her studio in rural Northumberland. Maria also works in ceramics creating whimsical joyful dioramas depicting a broad menagerie of creatures in 'bonkers' scenarios.
