It was road trips from the Gauteng Province to the Western Cape and the dramatically contrasting landscapes that inspired Cat's curiosity in the architecture in nature.

Drawing inspiration from the cracks and asymmetrical angles in these landscapes, Cat designs sculptural jewellery that reflect the jagged surfaces left behind from metal mining. She carefully selects and cuts the stones into one of kind freeform shapes that continue the reflections of these escarpments.
